Garden of Eden - the Musical
Garden Of Eden is a modern black comedy retelling of the biblical story of creation except that the forbidden fruit is sex.
Meet haive Eve, humorous and flamboyant Snake, brainwashed Adam and not so confident God.
The focus of the musical changes over time in the same way as does that of a human growing up.
It begins with taking in the world, understanding your surroundings.
Then humans focus on pleasing the parents, and obeying them. Later we realise our ultimately lonelyness and that your parents aren't all you need.
Consequently, one attempts to break free and the focus is on rebellion.
At some point the cue of Garden of Eden moves onto sex followed by the realisation that children exist.
In mid life we find ourselves building our empire/legacy.
Eventually, we become older. With no clear reason to live, we question the meaning of life.
Finally, we start to think about what happens after death trying to set right all our wrongs.
Garden of Eden is a 30-minute musical suitable for double-bill thetrical performance.
